As the Member of Parliament for Gatineau, I would be pleased to be involved in the
15th Pan-American Shitoryu Karate-do Championships, to be held in August at the
Sports Centre.

This important event will bring together athletes from over a dozen countries in the heart
of Gatineau, in a competition that will no doubt be highly entertaining. It would give me
great pride to welcome them to the event and celebrate their success.

Karate is more than a sport. It is an art that requires strength, passion and discipline. I am honoured to have the opportunity to contribute to the success of this world-class event. I look forward to welcoming the participants and their delegations to Gatineau this
summer.
